Quality Staff

At the Australian Community Education College (ACEC), our aim is to deliver HIGH QUALITY staff. Our focus goes further than simply training in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Graduates from ACEC are sought after in the Early Childhood sector and employers retain our graduates.

Integrated Training

Our training is integrated into the daily workflow and routines of our students.

This innovative approach is not only efficient for Services and for Students, it delivers a higher quality outcome at graduation.

Flexible Training Solutions

Another key difference to our approach is FLEXIBILITY. Not all people respond to the demands of study and learning in the same way.

At the Australian Community Education College we offer a variety of ways to demonstrate competency. All learning styles and special needs are catered for.

Tailored Solutions

One size does not suit everyone and at the Australian Community Education College, we pride ourselves on being flexible enough to work with individuals and businesses to find the best possible solutions to ensure successful, high quality outcomes.

Our trainers and assessors are all from a background in Children’s Services. We use a number of different training and assessment tools and methodologies in order to ensure that all learning styles are accommodated.

Traineeship or Fee for Service?

The Australian Community Education College offers training for employees accepted into Traineeships under State based funding agreements and also under fee for service arrangements.

Traineeships are a great childcare career pathway. They combine on-the-job training with formal study to give you the skills and experience employers are looking for. Traineeships generally take around 1-2 years to complete, and trainees earn a salary while they learn. And with the NSW Government currently funding traineeships under the Smart and Skilled program, what better time to start a traineeship in childcare in NSW.

Our National Helpdesk is available to demystify the question of what solution would be better for your situation.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a powerful and efficient way for valuable and experienced workers to get qualified.

The Australian Community Education College offers a unique two stage approach to the RPL process.

An initial assessment of suitability for the RPL process will confirm that it is an option for an individual. The next phase is a full assessment of how an individual’s experience can demonstrate competency. ACEC’s flexible approach means that occasionally the RPL process may include some additional work to achieve competency, rather than study an entire qualification.
