Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a powerful and efficient way for valuable and experienced workers to get qualified.
The Australian Community Education College offers a unique two stage approach to the RPL process.
An initial assessment of suitability for the RPL process will confirm that it is an option for an individual. The next phase is a full assessment of how an individual’s experience can demonstrate competency. ACEC’s flexible approach means that occasionally the RPL process may include some additional work to achieve competency, rather than study an entire qualification.
Traineeship or Fee for Service?
The Australian Community Education College offers training for employees accepted into Traineeships under State based funding agreements and also under fee for service arrangements.
Traineeships are a great childcare career pathway. They combine on-the-job training with formal study to give you the skills and experience employers are looking for. Traineeships generally take around 1-2 years to complete, and trainees earn a salary while they learn. And with the NSW Government currently funding traineeships under the Smart and Skilled program, what better time to start a traineeship in childcare in NSW.
